What is Donation Pool?
Donation Pool is a platform to create and support verified campaigns with secure payments, visible fees and impact updates.
What fee applies?
Donation Pool charges no platform commission at all — 0%, always. Donors pay exactly the amount they choose to give to the cause; no platform fee is ever added on top of their payment.
The platform's only revenue is a tip: each campaign's creator can enable it if they want, to help sustain Donation Pool. It's never mandatory — entirely voluntary — and they can turn it off completely whenever they want. When it exists, it's deducted from what's raised and never added to what the donor pays.
Stripe's processing cost — which varies by the card's issuing bank, the beneficiary's country and the payment method, never a fixed figure — is no longer calculated or passed on by the platform: it is automatically absorbed by the beneficiary's own Stripe account, at whatever rate Stripe applies to it. Payments are a direct charge on the beneficiary's Standard Stripe account — there are no more destination charges or platform-deducted fees taken out of the amount raised.
Can I sponsor a cause?
Yes. Beyond donating, you can sponsor a cause to help improve its reach and visibility.
How are payments processed?
Payments are processed with Stripe. Donation Pool does not store sensitive financial data.
What if I detect fraud?
You can use the report page. The team reviews the details and may request clarification, pause visibility or escalate the case.
Do campaigns store images in Storage?
Yes. Images should live in a separate Storage folder so assets are not mixed with Markdown or JSON indexes.
